About Our Department
The Senior Center has been established to give people 55 years or older the opportunity to meet with other Seniors. All are welcome and diverse activities are scheduled each day for their participation. They are also welcome to just come in, have coffee, and “chat.” Activities are listed in the Frequently Asked Questions page.

Frequently Asked Questions
How old do you have to be to join the Senior Center and what do I have to do to become a member?
The entry age is 55 years. In order to be a member of our Senior Center, you must be a resident of the Town of Woodbury.

What programs do you have? Do you have speakers? If so, what topics are covered?
We have the following programs: exercise, dance, trips, monthly luncheons, cards, Maj Jong, canasta, Mexican train, other exciting games for enjoyment, and health and welfare programs. Speakers come to the Center to discuss senior concerns and health issues.  We also take trips to nearby places of interest.

Do you do dinner shows? How often do the Seniors go to the shows/sites? How do I know what programs are taking place each month?
We have dinner shows several times a year. Once a month we go to shows or sites. There is a monthly calendar of activities distributed to each member.

Are you a site for tax preparation, flu shots, and assorted events that are helpful?
Monthly blood pressure checks are done on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, when we have a visiting RN.

All seniors are encouraged to learn about, and if interested, register with the Friendly Visitor Program - (845)928-7578, ext. 1.
